Usui Reiki Trainings
What is Reiki?
Reiki (pronounced “Ray-Key”) is a healing technique originating in Japan that is used for stress reduction, pain relief, relaxation, and promoting overall health and spiritual balance.
There are three degrees of Reiki Training: Reiki I (basic techniques), Reiki II (advanced techniques and symbols), and Reiki Master-Teacher. My name is Carolyn Sheehan, and I’m a Certified Medical Reiki Master-Teacher based in Raleigh, NC.

Reiki Level I
Reiki I is a one day-long (9 hour) training. In this class you will learn and discuss the history and origin of Reiki, receive 4 attunements (which activates your ability to channel Reiki energy), learn basic lessons about the Endocrine System and the Chakra systems and how these relate to each other, and learn hand positions to do self-treatment as well has full body treatment on others. Time will be allowed to practice these positions on fellow classmates. You will also learn grounding, centering & protection, and receive study manual and a certificate of completion.

Reiki Level II
Reiki I is a pre-requisite for this class, and it is usually recommended that one practice First Degree for about three months before receiving Second Degree training.
Reiki II is a one-day (9 hour) training. In this class, you will: receive two additional attunements which are intended to further stimulate development of intuition and increase Reiki energy you can channel; and be taught three sacred symbols, each of which has their own unique healing energy, together with a range of special techniques that use one or more of these symbols.

Reiki III/Master
The Reiki III training is for students who would like to receive 100% full Reiki Power but without the desire of teaching Reiki to others (i.e. being a Master-Teacher).
This class is usually taught as a full-day (9 hour) Saturday training, as part of a larger two-day Master-Teacher training, in which those wishing to be full Master-Teachers stay both days and those wishing just to be Masters leave after the first day.
If the sign-up button doesn’t work / no Reiki Master/Teacher classes show up, that means I don’t have any sessions currently open for registration.
In that case, please contact me to express your interest and ask about future sessions!
Reiki Master-Teacher
This degree is only recommended for the serious healer, and especially for those who wish to teach Reiki and to make Reiki a major part of their lives. After receiving a Master Attunement, students will experience a further increase in the amount of healing energy power and the healing ability will reach a higher level. After completing instructed assignments, students are then able to open their own Reiki school.
